I see from past magazines that I usually first mention this in the June issue, even though it’s not until the second Saturday in August (the 14th, this year). Last year raised a record amount, and the Fete committee are working hard to improve on this again. More details nearer the time, but put it in your diary. However, it’s never too soon to clear out your bric-a-brac, so a phone call to Carolyn or Pete will sort out your problem, including collection if necessary. I can also reveal that it’s planned to follow the fete with a dance on the same evening, following the success of last year’s event. Again, more details to follow.
