Lucy Tweedie and Ashton Mayne were married at St Mary Magdalene in September 2008, so it was with great pleasure that we welcomed them both, and their families, for the christening of their first child, Maya Cecilia Patricia. Maya behaved impeccably throughout, and like all christenings this was a joyful occasion. Our thanks to David Bland for playing the organ at pretty short notice. While we have decided not to add baptisms onto our regular communion services, because it makes them so long, Claire points out that a christening is important to our church community, and that all are welcome to attend and lend their support to the new entrant, so see you next time?
