Our A.G.M was held in the Village Hall at 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24th. The minutes of the A.G.M. held 01 04 09 were read, Di Cooley and Anthony Russell were re elected Churchwardens.
At the following A.P.C.C. meeting, minutes of the A.P.C.C. were read and the electoral roll presented, officers and members of the P.C.C. remain, Lynn Russell secretary, David Hatchell treasurer, Charles Kenchington fabric officer, Jan Kensington electoral roll officer, Augusta Hamlin and Miriam Darlington P.C.C. members. A report on Parish and P.C.C. activities for the past twelve months and Treasurer’s report were presented.
Extracts from the Fabric Officer’s report read as follows: ‘The new heating system has proved unsatisfactory, so I am looking into the possibility of putting the tubes either under the seats or under the kneelers. I am also looking for a short term time-switch for the external lights. The gutters have been cleared and the brambles behind the handrail down to the lych gate cleared away. Thanks are due to the Friends for repairing our big, old bible and for the new seat cushions. The Ramblers have agreed July 17th for their annual clear up. At Des Stokes’ request I wrote a letter for him to read at their A.G.M. to encourage new members to participate.’
