News from Clee

Well, we have survived the snow and ice up here, although one Sunday service had to be cancelled as did the Whist Drive on 29th January (next Whist Drive will be on Friday 30th April).

There is now a splendid new noticeboard in place on the wall of the church, and also a portable one to display posters etc. Now hopefully everyone will see where the church is! (although services continue to be held in the Village Hall at present).

The news about the church building is encouraging in that specialist repairs to the ceiling, etc, can be done at a very much lower cost than originally quoted. Of course this means a lot of fund raising in the next few months and ideas are being put forward. More details in next months issue after the 14th February occasion when the celebration of St. Peters, past present and future has taken place, as this is after the deadline for the March magazine. We all really hope that the church can be opened eventually for worship again.

There are still spaces in the church garden for rose bushes to be planted if anyone wishes to.
