Lent Course
This year’s Lent Course is called“About to Receive” is all about communion. The times and days have changed this year so hopefully more people will be able to find the time to attend on either Wednesday morning or Thursday evening.
The course will be held on:
Wednesdays (24th Feb, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th March) at 11.30am in the Methodist Church and followed by Lent soup lunch in the Methodist Hall
Thursdays (25th Feb, 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th March) at 6.30pm at Nash Village Hall and starting with a light supper.
The themes for the weeks are:
24th & 25th Feb Celebration Meals
3rd & 4th March The Journey of Life
10th & 11th March Bread of Life
17th & 18th March Invitation and Hospitality
24th & 25th March Sharing Life with Jesus
Holy Week Services
Palm Sunday
Procession begins at 9.15 am from The Knowle, with the distribution of palms. The procession ends with a Team Eucharist at 10.00am at Clee Hill Village Hall
Monday 29th
8.00pm. Compline & Meditation at Whitton
Tuesday 30th
8.00pm. Compline & Meditation at Burford
Wednesday 31st
6.00pm. Passover Supper at Little Hereford Village Hall. Tickets £3.50 (children free) from Churchwardens.
Maunday Thursday
10.30am. Chrism Eucharist at the Cathedral with Bishop Anthony. Everyone is welcome to attend this. Please let one of the clergy know if you would like a lift.
8.00pm. Eucharist of the Last Supper with the Office of Tenebrae, followed by the Watch until midnight, at St. Mary’s, Tenbury. There will be a board at the back of St Mary’s Church if you would like to sign up for the Watch. Please feel free to come & go during the watch.
Good Friday:
10.00am Good Friday Workshop for children at St Mary’s Tenbury
11am-12noon The Great Hot Cross Bun Giveaway on Regal Steps, Tenbury
2.00pm The Last Hour at Boraston
7.00pm A performance of music for Good Friday at St. Michael’s
