November 21 was cold and wet and dull but the inside of St Mary’s was warm and bright. The atmosphere was good as people came and went with their purchases. There were homemade cakes, jams, chutney and Christmas decorations. There were second hand books, tombola and the white elephant stall, etc – and don’t forget the bacon butties! Claire kept with tradition and wore her headband but this year the reindeer antlers were exchanged for Santa ear muffs! Lots of folk from the town came and supported us which was lovely and a total of £1120 was raised. Many thanks to all of you who helped in any way.
