Appeal for funds

In October the PCC agreed to send a letter to every house in the village, explaining the costs involved in running our parish church and our difficulty in meeting these, despite much hard work and fund-raising events, and asking for donations from those who appreciated having a village church, even though they were not regular church-goers. So far this has brought in nearly £1500, given by almost forty different people. This reflects wonderfully both on people’s generosity at a difficult time financially, and on the love they have for the church of Saint Mary Magdalene. On behalf of the PCC I would like to say how grateful we are.
