A Brighter Welcome to Greete

All travelling our roads will by now have noticed the three flower ‘boxes’ under the new ‘Welcome to Greete’ signs. These were constructed by Ray Amos and planted with daffodils by him and Sue. They and Geof Lythall planted more of the sack of bulbs purchased with parish funds, in other places in the parish; including by the oak tree at Greete Brook. We look forward to these symbols of spring in bloom. They may be early this year, as my daffodils in a tub were pushing through before the end of November. The signs, boxes and bulbs and several road drainage improvements have come about due to suggestions made at Parish Meetings. Many thanks to all involved.
