Many thanks once again to all the people who have continued to support the 49 Club in the past year. We have been sorry to lose one or two members but grateful to those who stepped into the breach. Just a reminder that the club has 49 members who pay £1 a week; from this princely sum of £49 there is a weekly prize of £25 and a donation of £24 to the church, the prize going to the person whose number matches the Bonus Ball on the National Lottery every Saturday. As a result of your membership, we will have paid out £1,300 in prizes and made a donation to the church of £1,244 in 2009. (The donation to the church was £4 less than usual because there were only 48 members in September.) Well done everyone.
You can pay monthly in advance by cash or cheque, and extra thanks are due to those who save my carbon footprint by paying several months at a time or giving me post- dated cheques.
