The Sausage and Mash evening was enjoyable although somewhat stressful for the kitchen crew as the cooker in the Village Hall gave up the ghost despite the efforts of the electrician to get it going. However, thanks to microwaves, etc, and the use of Trevor’s large cooker at home, all was well in the end. The Tombola stall did good business during the delay! Many thanks to everyone for their hard work in the kitchen and all who helped, including the four young people who volunteered to serve the puddings. The evening continued with a Beetle Drive ably organised by Kathleen and Norris. In all, including the tombola, over £450 was raised for church funds.
