20th October was the date of the three- monthly Healing Service. These services are always very quiet and peaceful and very special. This time we sang a couple of hymns, had a short talk, prayed, listened to music and had a time when we could think quietly by ourselves. There weren’t many people from St Mary’s Tenbury there; perhaps the fact that it is called a healing service might put off some people. What happens at these services is that those who want to be prayed for go up to the rail, as for communion, and two people from the local ministry team say the same short prayer for each in turn. There is no need for you to say anything or even to go to the rail at all if you don’t want to. The next healing service will be in January – why not come along.
