A sub committee of the PCC has been formed to oversee restoration of the churchyard’s ancient preaching cross. Together with local historian Geoff Mytton, this committee will apply for a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The idea is to involve the local community and in particular local schools and the Historical Society in this project. There will be more details as the scheme progresses.
