The day of the ride was blessed with just the right sort of day; sunny and dry, but not hot. So both cyclists, Richard Griffiths and Howard Cheese, enjoyed their day. Richard covered 69 miles, visited 21 churches and raised £60; I did a much more leisurely 31 miles, still on my 55+ year old Raleigh, visited 9 churches and raised £74.
Half of the money raised will come back to Greete church. But as the trust gave us £4,000 towards our restorations costs, we are very grateful and will hopefully keep pedalling for them.
